Your privacy is important to us! Here at toEmoji, we keep things simple, secure, and fun. We don't want your data, we just want to translate it into emojis.

We don't save messages

When you type /toemoji, we receive the text, translate it instantly, send it back, and throw it away. We never log or store your chat messages.

Encrypted at rest

We store your workspace's bot access token to fetch custom emojis. All tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before they hit our database.

Custom Emoji Cache

We temporarily cache your workspace's custom emoji list so translations are fast. Your workspace's custom emojis never bleed into other workspaces.

Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to outside parties. Communication happens directly between our servers and the Slack API.

By using the toEmoji app, you agree to this privacy policy. You can uninstall the app at any time via your Slack workspace settings.
